See here for Trax and GHD's Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan. Following feedback received on the Plan in September 2025, they have improved the engagement approach.

What we changed…​​

  • All face-to-face activities need to be accessible​

  • We have targeted locations near public transport and that are accessible for people with mobility aids

  • Communications via email were preferred

  • We increased the amount of email updates we were planning. People can now register their emails through the online survey to receive project updates. ​

  • We want some information to be available in languages other than English

  • We have translated key fact sheets into the most common languages spoken across Melbourne.​

  • We prefer to provide feedback via an online survey

  • An online feedback survey will be available from 13 October 2025 to 8 December 2025.​

  • We want to know how noise will be shared and managed

  • There are fact sheets that explain how noise will be managed, and options for noise. You are also being asked to provide feedback on your preference for noise sharing options. ​

  • We want to know what the noise will be like in my area

From 13 October 2025 to 8 December 2025 we are asking for community and industry input to help shape the Noise Sharing Plan. ​

Industry input is vital for shaping the Noise Sharing Plan. ​

As Trax and GHD develop the Noise Sharing Plan they will be engaging with the aviation industry to gather feedback. ​

They will be seeking to understand detailed aviation operations within the Melbourne Basin to inform the draft Noise Sharing Plan. The draft Noise Sharing Plan will then be available for feedback in mid-late 2026. ​
